It’s time to face the truth. Christmas holidays are well over as of today and that means that we have to go back to our jobs and everyday struggles. Changing from ‘holiday mood’ to ‘everyday routine’ sure is hard, but it doesn’t have to be that bad. There are ways to create quality time for yourself during the day and with the right organisation you can make the most out of it without having to struggle through it. There are easy ways to help yourself to have the best day ever- everyday.
And it all starts in the morning. More and more you hear people saying that a good morning routine, which fits your personality and needs, can change your whole day for the best. It is about creating steps that you follow everyday and that give you the opportunity to focus, clear your mind and prepare for the hours of work and responsibilities to come. Here are the some essential steps that will help you create a morning routine for yourself to make the most out of everyday.
First things first: Drink Water
Leave a glass of water by your bed so you can drink it the moment you wake up or treat yourself to a nice cup of hot tea. Hydration is a very important first step to wake up your body and mind. Choose your favorite cup for it or a funky glass to make it special.
Stretch that body
Working out in the morning may sound like a torture for people like me, who can hardly walk to get breakfast in the morning. But try to push yourself to do a light workout, or a ten-minute stretch or yoga routine, the first times it’s going to be hard, but it will soon become an unbreakable habit. Put your gear next to your bed the night before so you won’t forget and go for it, your body will feel more energized and ready for the day.
Eat a hearty breakfast
Never skip breakfast! Give your body the energy it needs,by eating something you love, but that’s also healthy and keeps you full until lunchtime. Fresh fruit, nuts and fibers are always great. Don’t rush it though… take time to taste every bite!
Write down your thoughts and plans for the day
Take your journal or planner and write down some thoughts. What would you like to focus on today? Is there any specific goal you would like to set for yourself? Go through your schedule and review your plans, take a moment to reflect and see if you are ready for them. Later, when you will be going through them, you are going to feel more serene and prepared. Get Inspired
Create some time to be inspired in the morning. A song, a quote, an article, a book, anything can do. Maybe take some time to fill in your coloring book, listen to your favorite album while eating breakfast, or read a great post online. Find something uplifting that can give you that extra push every time you need it.
